Ongoing Therapy

What Regular Sessions Look Like

After the evaluation, families who move forward with therapy schedule sessions on a regular basis — at a frequency and location that works for them.

Weekly or bi-weekly sessions

Most children start with weekly sessions, though the right frequency depends on your child’s needs and your family’s schedule. Dr. Sue will make a clear recommendation after the evaluation.

Duration varies by child

Some children complete their goals in a few weeks. Others, especially those with more complex needs, may work with Dr. Sue for several months. Progress drives the timeline, not a preset package.

Parents are part of every session

You’re not asked to leave the room. Family coaching is built into every visit so that the work continues in the hours between sessions — when Dr. Sue isn’t there.

Always in your home or daycare

Sessions happen where your child is most comfortable and where the real learning sticks — in their own environment, with their own toys and routines nearby.

The Five Things at the Heart of Every Session

Every child’s plan is different, but these are the core areas Dr. Sue focuses on — explained the way a parent needs to hear them.

Building Strength

Muscle strengthening of the neck, core, arms, and legs — the foundation for almost every milestone from sitting to walking.

Better Balance & Coordination

Helping your child’s brain and body work together for smoother, more controlled movement throughout the day.

Milestone Coaching

Hands-on guidance through rolling, sitting, standing, and walking — building each skill in the sequence that makes the next one easier

Walking & Mobility Support

Gait training, and assessment for walkers, braces, or trunk and leg supports when needed to help your child move safely and confidently.

Coaching for Parents, Too

Teaching you the positions, activities, and hands-on techniques that keep progress going between sessions. The part Dr. Sue cares about most.

Serving Rutherford and Neighboring Communities

Dr. Sue serves families within a local area she knows well. In-home visits mean she comes to you — no commute on your end.
